Overview of postage stamps, miniature sheets and other stamp products issued within the joint EUROPA 2016 stamp issues - Ecology in Europe - Think Green!
The EUROPA joint issue, which is celebrating the 60th anniversary of EUROPA's first stamps in 2016, is dedicated to an ecology called Ecology in Europe - think green!. Most of the countries participating in the joint issue of EUROPA in 2016 use a common theme, which arose from a competition of 24 competition proposals organized by a non-profit organization PostEurop, established in 1993 to represent the interests of European postal operators.

The Slovenian design, which was used as a motif on one of the two Slovenian stamps of the EUROPA 2016 joint issue, won second place in the competition.

Stamps issued within the EUROPA 2016 joint issue series are arranged alphabetically according to the English name of the issuing country. Greenland, Russia, Turkey and the United Kingdom do not participate in the EUROPA 2016 joint issue series, with Turkey issuing 2 stamps with a similar theme but without the EUROPA logo.
